(MACKAY), a leading provider to the government of maritime and land-mobile communications satellite terminals, today announced the promotion of Robert Byrd from Business Development Manager of the Government Division to Director of Government Programs. As Director, Byrd will also be the Division Manager of Mackay’s Government Division located in Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Master’s in Telecommunications Management from the Navy Postgraduate School, Byrd has over 25 years of U.S. Navy service, retiring as a Commander.
