6.12.07 FTMSC reveals new brand name: Vizada France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications (FTMSC) announced on June 6, 2007 that it has been re-branded itself as Vizada. The launch marks a new beginning as an autonomous provider on the mobile satellite communications market. The former FTMSC was acquired by funds managed by Apax Partners SA on October 31 2006. Vizada markets and develops mobile satellite communications solutions for customers based in areas with limited terrestrial telecoms infrastructure. It reaches these customers through eight sales and representation offices worldwide and a network of approximately 200 international distributors. The core of Vizada's strategy centers on developing partnerships with these distributors. Being present in strategically worldwide locations and leveraging the expertise of a long-term player, Vizada aims to provide even better support in the distribution of this portfolio through its partners.
