Mackay Communications Earns Distributor Award From Nera SATCOM AS

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 20, 2000) - Mackay Communications, Inc., a leader in communications and electronics equipment and services for the maritime industry, has been awarded the "Distributor of the Year for 1999" award by NERA. The award was presented on March 13, 2000 at NERA’s Annual Worldwide Distributor Convention in Oslo, Norway. The Norwegian-based NERA SatCom AS is the world’s leading manufacturer of digital satellite communications equipment for the marine and commercial industry.

Schlacks accepted the award along with John Marra, Mackay’s Vice-President of Sales, from Stig Are Mogstad, Vice-President, and Frank Rohdal, Director of Sales, both of NERA SatCom AS, Marine and Mobile.
